Judy Kim is a New York based food stylist, recipe developer, culinary producer and creative consultant. Her styling concentrates on commercial print work and tv commercials for brands such as Starbucks, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Panera, Pepsi, Domino’s, Uber Eats, Cazadores, and Michelob. Her editorial work can be seen in Bon Appetit, The New York Times, Martha Stewart, Wine Enthusiast, Food & Wine, Vogue and New York Magazine.
Judy’s food is highly engaging, immersive, and vibrant. Her presentation and plating is elegant and high end, yet casual and inviting. It begs to be experienced.
Before food came a career in fashion. Jobs at Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Rebecca Taylor, and others unknowingly layed the foundation for her future vocation. Merchandising luxury apparel and accessory collections took the bulk of those years, there was even a fun stint as a colorist, but a pivotal role at Burberry launched a deep interest in product development. Merchandisers regularly sat in on design meetings to review textile swatches, color palettes and sketches, but product developers traveled the world to source and manufacture. She spent nearly a decade visiting with international textile makers, trim suppliers, factories while overseeing pattern makers and sample hands in the design studio. Fashion gave her the perfect menagerie of skills and experiences for a new profession as a food stylist. It meant everything to finally become an artist, a creative working in a creative field.
Judy was a guest on the PBS series Martha Bakes with Martha Stewart, Season 10, Fanciful Tarts episode. She contributes recipes to The New York Times, The James Beard Foundation and Delish where she was previously a recipe columnist, Insanely Easy Weeknight Dinners.
